Would you like to improve your skills in language for special purposes?

In the winter semester 22/23, four tutorials on German as a language of science with a focus on language for special purposes are planned for international students. 

There is one tutorial in each department and in the adaptation course (Anpassungslehrgang). The tutorials can be found in the LSF:

0181 Online tutorial on German as a language of science for international students in department 1 and in department 2 (Fridays 10:00-12:00; start on 4.11.2022)

0183 Tutorial on German as a language of science for international students in department 3 (Mondays 18:00-20:00; start on 7.11. 2022)

0184 Tutorial on German as a language of science for international students in department 4 (Wednesdays 18:00-20:00; start on 2.11. 2022)

0185 Tutorial on German as a language of science for international students in the adaptation course and teacher training programme (Wednesdays 18:00-20:00; start on 2.11. 2022)

What is the aim of the tutorials?

The tutorials serve to acquire or deepen the respective subject-specific knowledge of scientific terminology. Further topics are the discussion of typical linguistic features of the respective examination form and support in the linguistic design of the study performance.  

Who are the tutorials for?

The tutorials with a subject-specific focus are aimed at students with a non-German mother tongue or with a non-German university entrance qualification. The offer is open to both Master’s and Bachelor’s students.  

How to register?

Students can register for the tutorials in the LSF from 13.9.2022.

The registration period ends one week after the start of the respective tutorial.

The number of participants is limited (max. 15 participants).
